New Treats for Adopting a Dog
from Metro Animal Services
LOUISVILLE, (January 9, 2008) – New pet owners will find a few extras in their dog adoption packages from Metro Animal Services, thanks to donations from local businesses.
Barkstown Doggy Day Care, located at 962 Barrett Ave, has added a $25 gift certificate (good for day care, boarding or grooming). Pro Pac Superpremium Pet Food will donate a four-pound bag of their dog food to each new dog owner. Any dog adopted at either Metro Animal Services or Barkstown will have these items added to its adoption package.
“We are very pleased to have these partners supporting our adoption program,” said Jackie Gulbe, Metro Animal Services’ assistant director for community relations. “Adopting animals through Barkstown’s facility has helped us reach a whole new group of dog lovers, and we are pleased to be affiliated with a high quality food like Pro Pac. It’s a win-win for everybody, especially the animals.”
The adoption package includes spay/neuter services, rabies vaccination, license, microchip, current preventative vaccinations, deworming, a heartworm test and $100 worth of coupons good at any Feeders Supply.
