The Office for International Affairs works to assist international newcomers to Louisville, whether they are new residents, such as immigrants and refugees, or shorter-term inhabitants of the community such as students or visitors.

The office acts as a clearinghouse for information of interest to the international community and advocates for improvement in access to community resources and services by non-English speaking persons.

Three areas of focus constitute the primary work of the office:

An advisory council, made up of 35 members of the community who represent diverse backgrounds and interests, guides the work of the office and meets quarterly at Memorial Auditorium.

For additional information contact the office at 574-1432.
