911 Cellular Phone Calls
 
Being able to locate callers through his/her cell phone today depends completely on which Service Provider the individual uses and the type of phone.
 
Here in Louisville, about 25 – 30 percent of cell phone 911 calls have location data presented with the call. Caution: This new technology is not 100 percent reliable. The tower your call hits may be down for service or upgrade, or any number of other glitches could prevent public safety finding you in an emergency.
 
Landline phone service is still 99 percent reliable when calling 911.
